Verbella West Chester, Pa: April of last year, SAP quietly announced the release of SAP Content Server 6.5. Luckily, it’s free, and included in your current SAP license, and stores and retrieves content just like any other third-party solution.
Content Server 6.5 currently supports MaxDB versions 7.6 – 7.9, and required installation via the Software Provisioning Manager (SWPM)
SAP Content Server 6.5 is now being maintained fully through Dec 31, 2020
SAP Content Server 6.4 maintenance period ended Sept, 15 2014. No new patches will be provided for it.
It is recommend by SAP to upgrade to 6.5.
